Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. With a deep-rooted love for family law, Ashley's current legal practice is centered around a variety of aspects of family law. She focuses a majority of her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, the distribution of marital property and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues, step-parent and private party adoptions as well as issues involving children's welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. Ashley mediates private cases as well as court-appointed mediations for people who want to stay clear of litigation and court processes.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was ranked among the top 10 students of her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time at law school. This demonstrates her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

Following the completion of her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship, working for distinguished jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant to the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. Subsequently, in 2014, she returned to her hometown of Hagerstown to be a clerk for Honorable M. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. as an associate attorney. Her primary focus at the firm involved representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters related to child welfare. Ashley's dedication to her work played a crucial role in helping children who suffered abuse or negligence at the of their caregivers or parents. Her commitment to social justice spanned beyond the legal realm and she was active as an executive member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, working diligently to increase awareness of human trafficking within the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding partner at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and established her practice in family law including divorce, custody, child maintenance and guardianships – as well as estate and financial planning – wills, trusts, power of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy – and mediation.

Ashley created Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023, with the goal of providing an individual approach to each client's need.
